Yay!!! The FDC course is finally over!!! Geez, the 4 day course is taking a big toll on me... While typing this, my eyelids is almost closing --. Anyway, i got it wrong... everyone that goes there can get da freestyle drill badge, i thought only the top 3 can get it... But if that really is the case, i will be super sian, zzz. Which btw, my team didn't got into the top 5, much less the top 3... get why i will be super sian? lol. Okay, this is what happened during the 5 days(plus the briefing.If u r curious about it, read on. If not, then don't bother.)

Pre-Course Briefing[17 Nov]
Met up with benny to go to NCC HQ. We don't know why coming to this course requires a pre-course briefing(until now, we still don't know the significance of it) but we stll went to it anyway. Once there, we saw quite a few no. of NCC cadets... Geez... it was very sian at that time, walking to the camp along with the other cadets... Once there, we went to ...? some air-con room and watch an army-related movie before the SM arrives. Once he arrives, he just went on to explain about what to be expecting for the course, and the splitting of cadets to different groups. After that it was the end of the day. Then we went back home to ponder about it.

DAY 1[23 Nov]
Reported at the NCC HQ, waited outside a bit before entering... and i even saw that Jiang shi guy! The first day was really okay, although me n benny were a little scared that we might be split. Went there, saw a few bad omens[hey, do u still remember about it? ;)] Especially the ultra gloomy weather. Then we went to report inside the camp. Then wait wait wait... kena splitting of group, same group with benny. Then we wait... again. After that, we go for tea-break(10:30A.M) then wait there again. After that we played ice-breaker(what else?) for 2 hours before going to lunch at 1. Its okay if u play for 1 hour or lesser, but 2 hours? Damn bored. But surprising, some of us got along quite well. Then they choose the most talkative one to be IC(congratz Thung Yi Tian). After that lunch break... something did happen, but i m lazy to say it, anyway, its nothing important. Then after lunch, wait again, practice drills, teach stationary freestyle drills... then another tea-break(3:30P.M). then wait then show the SM what we learn for that day before going home... zzz boring right? END OF DAY 1

DAY 2[24 Nov]
Came to camp with Benny again. it was exactly 12 hours after we went home... and once we include the sleeping time, u will know how much time i have left. TOO LITTLE! Anyway, we went to the camp for attendance taking, and it took longer than expected. Apparently, there were the addition of some new people. By now, generally, my group recognise each other by face more than by name, excluding the IC. Then, like Day 1, after lunch break, we started practicing our stationary freestyle drills before our sir teach us the US marching way. Then tea-break then show SM what we learn then go home... and zzz. END OF DAY 2

DAY 3[25 Nov]
Same as yesterday, except that we need to name our group(or was it day 2? Forgot le) Anyway the clear thing is that on that day, we need to give the SM our finalised group name before the afternoon tea-break. We thought of a lot of funny ideas, until we finally decided on Sparkz... [Okay now i remember! It's was on day 2, we thought of the name on day 2, then finally decided on Sparkz... ya, its like that.] Then in the afternoon, we were taught ripple line and bearings... after that, we need to decide on our formation, yada yada n then the start of the "racial riots". Then we start practicing(more slacking then practicing :P) then decide on music then try to synchronise with the music beat... nice music! its by jumpstart. Skipping that, after that, we decide what we want to modify our uniform with then sayonara... END OF DAY 3

DAY 4[26 Nov]
Came super early today to practice our Drill. BUT, our dear AIC(assistant IC) came super late... zzz. could have slept more.Then they came and we start practicing, although we got into a lot of disagreement. Then the inspection! before lunch break. It's very scary at first, cause for every loose threads on our uniform, minus 2 points... and u know the rest... furthermore, they will ask u a general knowledge question. Don't know? Minus point. So when its our turn for inspection, we were saying our prayers... some of us anyway. Surprising, it was over in a flash! The SM must be super tired with checking everyone, so it was quite quick. Then the general knowledge question. Luckily, they asked me a very simple question... heng la. After that we did our final practice(after lunch break) then the commencing of the competition. To cut it short, we did a lot of cock up, no synchronisation, no proper wheeling, And lost... but i reckon we r in the 6-7 place... total of 14 teams... so i think we did okay... after all, we did slack quite a bit. If u wanna know who the winners r, err, go website check... they r damn pro... especially Jiang shi's group and the kamikaze... woohooo. then we got the badge, then commence the finals, n found the top 3... after that, picture taking, exchanging no.s skip the buffet, and came back home! END OF DAY 4

Of course, there were a few "sacrifices" like the hair cut... and they didn't even check mine... cut for nothing. The bloody sunburn... the going home time on day 3 was super painful! AND MY F***ING BURN! IC, IF U SEE THIS, NEXT TIME LOOK WHERE U PLACE YOUR LIGHTER! MY NECK IS STILL BURNING EVEN NOW! Okay, i have made my point... but i do like the badge though... although its a bit Dull...zzz. Kayes, thats all.
